Your home in Lagos Life sets a recurring cost as well as the space you have for furniture and guests. Mushin, Yaba and Lekki offer different starting experiences; Ikoyi and Banana Island are later move-in goals. The amounts in this guide are game rules, not real-world rental prices.
All five homes and weekly rent
| Area | Home | Weekly rent | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mushin | Face-me-I-face-you | ₦2,400 | Starting home |
| Yaba | Self-contain | ₦6,000 | Starting home |
| Lekki Phase 1 | Mini-flat | ₦17,000 | Starting home |
| Ikoyi | Duplex | ₦250,000 | Move in later |
| Banana Island | Mansion | ₦1,500,000 | Move in later |
Which starting home should you choose?
Mushin has the lowest weekly rent and a compact room. Its cheaper bills leave more room in the budget, but the basic furnishings make recovery part of the challenge. Yaba's self-contain offers a middle ground. Lekki's mini-flat has more space and separate rooms, but its ₦17,000 weekly bill puts more pressure on early earnings.
Choose based on the routine you want to play. Low rent is useful while learning the six needs and experimenting with a career. More space only helps if you can keep paying for it.
When is rent due?
The game checks rent when the in-game day rolls into Saturday. If your wallet covers it, the payment is deducted automatically. If it does not, the game applies a sapa moodlet and records landlord palava in the log. Set money aside before the day changes rather than waiting for a last-minute shift.
What does moving cost?
Moving requires one week's rent up front as a deposit. You need that amount in your wallet before the move can go through. A move to Ikoyi therefore needs ₦250,000; Banana Island needs ₦1,500,000. The recurring Saturday rent is a separate cost to plan for after moving.
A practical savings target is the deposit plus the next rent payment, with money left for food and transport. That is a budgeting suggestion, not an extra fee charged by the game.
Does your furniture move with you?
Yes. Moving takes your existing furniture along. Objects that do not fit the new layout are pulled back inside the home's grid. A smaller home can become cramped, so review your room after moving. Do not assume a luxury address includes a new set of furniture.
Sea-plot rentals are a separate city feature
Your home is where your Sim lives; a sea plot is a temporary rental on the lagoon map. Spend ₦50,000 of your game money for a seven-in-game-day sea-plot lease, or ₦100,000 for a billboard lease with your chosen emoji. Neither replaces your home or its Saturday rent. Follow the billboard and sea-plot guide to find an available slot and pay from your game wallet.
Build income before upgrading
Use the careers and earnings guide to compare shifts and promotion skills. Track what you actually earn after performance changes, then compare a full week's income with the new rent. An address that consumes all your earnings leaves little room for recovery or travel.
