Lagos Life lets your character travel between Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. An intercity journey changes the city you are standing in; looking at another city's map alone does not. This guide explains how to book a trip, choose a journey mode and avoid arriving without a plan for recovery or getting home.
How to travel to another city
- Finish your current activity. You cannot start an intercity journey while another activity is running.
- Open the city screen and choose Travel to another city.
- Select Abuja, PH or Lagos from the available destinations.
- Compare each mode's displayed fare and in-game duration.
- Choose a mode you can afford and let the journey finish.
On completion, your character arrives at the new city's airport hub and the map opens there. Abuja uses Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport; PH uses Port Harcourt International Airport. From that arrival point, plan a local journey to your next venue.
Flight, night bus or driving?
| Mode | Main trade-off | Planning tip |
|---|---|---|
| Flight | The shortest journey in the current game data; no extra road-trip energy or hygiene deduction. | Compare the fare with the time you save before a busy day. |
| Night bus | A longer journey with energy and hygiene costs. | Plan a recovery stop before work or a lengthy outing. |
| Drive | A road journey with energy and hygiene costs. | Check your needs as well as your wallet before booking. |
The booking screen gives the current numbers. These are fictional game fares and durations, not real Nigerian ticket prices, road distances or flight schedules. Your needs also continue to matter while game time passes.
Browsing a map is different from arriving
The city selector lets you look at another city's map. It does not teleport your character. If you want to use a venue in another city, book an intercity trip first, then use local transport after arrival. This distinction matters when your map shows a place you can see but cannot yet visit.
Does travelling move your home?
No. Your address stays in its original city. If your home is in Lagos and you are standing in Abuja, a local trip home cannot take you across cities. Book a return journey to Lagos, or travel to your preferred city and choose a new home there.
Moving requires the new home's deposit. Review the Abuja and PH housing guide before changing your address. A visit lets you explore without making that commitment.
Budget for the whole outing
Before leaving, set aside the outbound fare, local transport, planned activities and a return fare. If a road journey lowers your energy or hygiene, include time to recover. A cheap outbound trip is not the whole cost of a day away.
For example, an Abuja visit might involve arriving at the airport, travelling to Jabi, choosing an activity, recovering and returning. A PH visit might centre on a food stop in Rumuokoro or a leisure destination. Pick one goal and expand the plan only after checking what money and time remain.
Why might a trip be blocked?
- You still have an activity to finish.
- Your character does not have enough money for the selected fare.
- You selected the city you are already in.
- Your character is jailed and cannot travel.
Read the message shown by the game, resolve that condition and try again. Start with the Abuja city guide or PH city guide to choose a destination worth the journey.
